Third Graders get a visit from education director of the cape ann museum
Third grade students learned about the Folly Cove designers and their founder, Virginia Lee Burton. They were local people from Gloucester who created intricate linoleum prints. Students will have the opportunity to visit the museum before this school year ends, as well make their own linoleum prints in the art room. This is a collaborative third grade unit between myself and the Essex art teacher Tina Doherty. There will be a collaborative third grade student exhibit of prints in the student gallery at the Cape Ann Museum this summer. For more information, visit their website at: www.capeannmuseum.org
